Hey Guys,
I'm more than adequately aware that adding new cursors is a little bit outdated - I really do agree too, the Windows 7 and Windows Vista cursor sets are very nice, and undeniably functional.
But, for the sake of customization, I've hunted down a few really nice ones, which you might juuuust decide are worth using at home:
Entis - LINK
Mario Glove - LINK
Comix Cursors Black (I'm currently using
Black: LINK
White: LINK
Iea - LINK
For more, and trust me there are a lot more out there, a great place to start is DeviantArt - Honestly the most polished ones live there.
For a guide to how to change your cursor in Windows 7 check out THIS page! (If you would like a guide for other OS, make sure to let me know :] )
Hope you found something you like!
Mike.

Screensavers! (My Favourites)
Hey Guys,
Lets face it, the screensavers that come with Windows are, well, terrible... Mac has a bit of an advantage, as we all know the OS is style over substance.
So, why not take one of the screensavers below and make your computer chill out in style ; ) (you may recognise Flurry from OSX ... that's because it is from OSX)
[Warning - A lot of these are AWESOME, and will likely consume half your day just watching them]
Flurry (windows) : LINK
Really Sick Screensaver Pack : LINK
This pack has multiple screensavers, check here for a full list with previews - In the meantime here are some of the best ones included in the above link:
Briblo - LINK
[Yes, it really does build real time in LEGO!]
breveCreatures - LINK
Ok, now this is kind of exciting - A screensaver that simulates the evolution of virtual creatures in a physically simulated 3D world. Beginning initially with random creatures, the screensaver uses a genetic algorithm to develop creatures capable of realistic locomotion behaviors
So basically, your little dude evolves every time the screensaver comes up, the creature is saved when you bring down the screensaver, and comes back next time... Holy f&S^.
Here are some vids of the simulation in action:
Electric Sheep - LINK
This is pure amazing.
Really hope all of you found something you like out of this list! If you need a wildcard still, click here for dancing Japanese girls with a clock, and here to uhh... preview...
Till next time,
Mike.

Icon Archive
Hey Guys,
A site you may all want to check out is Icon Archive
They host a lot of icon sets for different operating systems, all of which are free, and often supported directly by the artists who put them together. Just a really smart place to find icons.
Lets face it, Windows has particularly poor icons for most devices - Plug in your phone ... Oh... Alright, it looks like another Hard Disk - So this is a great place to go to pick up something to freshen up your devices and desktop!
Here's a few great sets which you should go check out:
App Icons by Arrioch - LINK
Some of the sets out there look really great, and trust me make it a little more tolerable browsing around your computer!
Happy browsing guys, hope you find something you like :)

3D 8-Bit Walls
Hey guys!
Something I really love is alternative art, kicking up old media and giving it a modern spin. The following are examples of how old can be made new and awesome again!
I think you can see from the content that I grew up with certain influences ;) hope you won't nostalgia too hard! I have a few more of these, so might post them in the future
Till next time,
Mike.

Shimeji!
Hey Guys!
Ordinarily I would never make two posts so close to one another, but Wild Otaku (Claude) has allowed me to stumble upon this wonderful little invention in his latest blog post!
Shimeji! Little skinable guys that walk all over your task bar, hang off windows, the side of your screen, and generally get the f**k in your way!
No honestly - The things are freakin brilliant, check out the Shimeji homepage here: Home Page!
NB: You can either download the calm version or the mischevious... Really up to you, but I can tell you one gets hectic very very quick hahaha!
And, don't forget to check out DeviantART for all the fantastic user made skins - Hopefully you can find your favorite character!
Me? I found Link, from the Legend of Zelda, and CREEPER from Minecraft:
PS: You can throw them around your screen - Be prepared for immense procrastination.
Till next time,
Mike.

Carwalls
Hey Guys,
Carwalls is a site I frequented a year or two back. The place is GREAT if you fancy yourself a bit of an auto guy/gal, as they sort wallpapers by make and model - and especially useful, they provide them in over a dozen different resolutions, all the way up to 2048x1536!
Here a couple I have saved from way back, and definitely some of my favorites:
Until you can own these cars, this is the closest we can get! :(
Hope you guys manage to find something you like!

Windows 7 Gadgets (Official)
Hey Guys,
Something I'm sure a lot of us are used to seeing is the Windows 7 sidebar gadgets - Clocks, calendars, weather, it's all pretty standard. To be fair, the vast majority of the gadgets available are pretty standard!
Some however, are useful to those of us who would rather stick to the utilities provided by windows:
"With this All CPU Meter you can display your Processor usage (Twenty Four Core, Sixteen Core, Twelve Core, Eight Core, Six Core, Quad Core, Triple Core, Dual Core or Single Core), Cores temperatures and RAM usage."
The CPU monitors that come with Windows 7 are just awful. They look like Turbo gauges, and only measure the usage of a single core - In an age of dual core, this is a ridiculous limitation, so this little gadget gets rid of that issue - Doesn't look bad either!
Check out Network Meter if you want to measure wired/wireless usage too!
...
You know what - I've gotten this far through my post and realized - Windows Live gadgets suck. Badly. They do not have the continuing support that for instance, Firefox add-ons boast
So, feel free to take a look through the list here, but don't keep your hopes up... Yuck, feel sick even after writing this.
Protip: Get Rainmeter.... Just... Do it, please, for your own sake!!
Till next time,
Mike.
